For Stephen and Rebecca Meyer, access to a quality education was just an assumption. Both grew up in middle-class families in the United States in the 60’s and 70’s. Completing high school and college with the support and encouragement of loving parents was the norm.  

They began seeing the world through a different lens when they adopted their two children from Russia in 2004. Seeing the faces of the children left behind in the orphanage and hearing the heart-breaking statistics of those that age out of the system with no support broke their hearts wide open. About eight months after bringing their kids home, Stephen found himself on a plane to South Africa in what could only be described as a God ordained. On that trip he came face to face with our truly miraculous God and left his heart in the African dirt.  Fast forward several years and two more trips to South Africa and Swaziland and the call was clarified to launch in 2010, El Shaddai Paths to Leadership.
